Many eager buyers and sellers track market conditions for a number of reasons.  While their reasons for knowing the trends are different, any fluctuations can impact contract negotiations.  If you are unaware of where to start, there are a number of resources available to help you determine how the market is where you are.  Here at Golston Real Estate, our agents are trained to help assist you with this process whether you are a buyer or a seller.

RESEARCH:  For every buyer or seller who is willing to talk to an agent, there are a thousand more who would rather research the market themselves.  Thanks to modern technology there are a number of great websites that can aid in your search.  Start with these below to get moving in the right direction:

SELLERS:  If you’re a seller, market conditions can mean the difference between selling for a profit or a loss. Identifying the best time to sell can help alleviate some of the stress associated with whether or not you need to list your home or save money before listing it.  There have been plenty of sellers who have unnecessarily endured a horrendous selling process for lack of research and preparation.

BUYERS:  Buyers can often find a bargain if the market conditions are in their favor.  Identifying the right climate can potentially save a buyer thousands of dollars.  You could get the home in the neighborhood you’ve always wanted to live in or invest those save dollars into furnishing your new house bargain.  On the contrary, you could also lose money if you’re not careful.  You’re agent would also be helpful in determining whether or not you are investing your money in the right home depending on their knowledge of the market.

Real estate changes all the time and often day by day.  Don’t let the conditions drive you mad.  Make sure that you work with a trusted agent who can help guide you through the process.  While you can’t drive the market conditions, you certainly shouldn’t let the market conditions drive you!
